Small Change Challenge
We recognise that not everyone has the time to organise a major fundraising event which is why we’re asking individuals and families to take on the Small Change Challenge. Quick, easy and convenient you can raise precious pounds for the National Eczema Society with very little effort.
Simply select a bottle, jar or other suitable container – the bigger the better! – and place it somewhere where it will be a constant reminder. Then, whenever you have some spare change, pop it in! A small, regular gesture such as this can make a life changing difference to those with eczema. We’ve even created a handy label that you can print out and attach to your chosen container so that everyone knows what you are collecting for.
Support the Helpline
For both the newly diagnosed and those who have lived with eczema for many years our dedicated helpline is an indispensable source of information, advice and support. Open 12 hours a day, five days a week this invaluable service costs the National Eczema Society, on average, £40,000 a year to run but the support it provides to those with eczema is priceless.
This year we’re inviting you to help fund this lifeline with our first ever Small Change Challenge! If 5,000 people collected £8 each over the course of the year, that would fund the entire helpline service. That’s less than 16p a week! And it doesn’t end there…75p would provide a caller with practical information on the treatment and day to day management of eczema. Could you save £3 a month and help 48 people a year to take control of their condition?
A few suggestions
Challenge yourself to fill the most unusual container you can think of – we’d love you to send us a photo! Choose a different denomination each month so that you get a ‘layered’ effect in your bottle or jar? Place the bottle in a prominent position and visitors might be grateful for the opportunity to offload their small change. Why not involve your friends and family as well? Children could donate a few pennies from their weekly pocket money.
Paying the money over
When you empty your bottle, simply send a cheque for the amount involved to:
