Walking the Coventry Way for charity - 16/9/09

Dermatology nurse Wendy Seaton and her husband Jim are celebrating having successfully walked the 40 miles that make up the Coventry Way route to raise money for the National Eczema Society. As well as raising much needed funds for the Society, the intention was to increase awareness of eczema and to let people know that there is help available both nationally and at a local level in Coventry.

Well done to Wendy and Jim for their fantastic efforts in raising nearly £700 to date and helping to kick off the fundraising in fine style before the start of National Eczema Week this Saturday.

Clocking up miles and pounds for the Society - 11/9/09

Each year, supporters of the Society enter a wide range of races from fun runs to 10k events to the London Marathon all to raise money for a good cause. Whether you’d like to get fit or are a serious runner looking for your next challenge, there are a broad range of well-organised runs to get involved with and help the Society at the same time. Already in September we’ve had the Adidas Women’s 5k Challenge while the Great North Run is coming up on Sunday 20th September.

The Society can offer help with fundraising as well as Tshirts and running vests to competitors and their supporters. Click HERE for our running events page and best of luck to Philip Beesley who is running the Great North Run for the Society, you can donate via his site at - www.justgiving.com/philip-beesley.
