Great North Run 2008
 The Great North Run around the streets of Newcastle is an iconic event in the road running calendar. It is the world’s biggest half marathon and celebrated its 28th anniversary in 2008.
For Cristina Tyley, it was the chance to complete the 13.1 mile challenge in memory of her friend Sarah Bath who passed away on the 5th August 2008, aged 25.
Sarah had severe eczema and Cristina, who also has the condition, decided to raise money for the National Eczema Society with an impressive £1,100 being donated to date. If you would like to learn more about Cristina’s efforts then she has a fundraising page online
