In memoriam
A donation in memory of a loved one or friend is a valuable and positive way to celebrate their life, while helping to fund comfort and support to those living with the misery of eczema or research to find a cure. Gifts are acknowledged in Exchange our quarterly members’ magazine. In memoriam donations can be made by any of the means by which we accept donations. Please advise us of the name of the loved one or friend in whose memory the donation is given.
Shares
As an alternative to a cash gift, we are pleased to accept gifts of shares. UK taxpayers may be able to claim income tax relief on the donation of shares to charity. The donation will not give rise to capital gain. Further information can be obtained from HM Revenue & Customs or from your financial adviser.
Shares worth £500 or more
If you have shares worth £500 or more to give, please contact our fundraising team on 020 7281 3553 or by email at fundraising@eczema.org. We will then tell you what to do.
Share worth less than £500
If the value of your shares is less than £500, an efficient way to dispose of them charitably is to donate them to ShareGift. ShareGift is a charity (registered number 1052686) that specialises in accepting gifts of share. ShareGift can be contacted on 020 7930 3737 or via their web site at www.sharegift.org. Please make sure you mention the National Eczema Society when you make a donation, as this will make sure that we continue to benefit from their funds.
Tax repayments
When completing your self-assessment tax return you can nominate a charity to receive all or part of any tax repayment due to you. To nominate the National Eczema Society you will need to enter our charity code NAG63CG.
