Portsmouth

When Paul Hitchcock took over as Worshipful Master of Southsea Masonic Lodge, he decided, along with his wife Angela, that their chosen charity for his term of office would be the National Eczema Society. The inspiration for this was that Paul and Angela have three grandchildren with eczema and they were keen for money to go towards researching the condition.

An extensive fundraising programme has been put together with skittles and a quiz night just two of the events that have been enjoyed in 2009.

The first event was a Christmas Party with carols, readings and song and dance acts. One of the members’ daughters read a poem about her experiences as an eczema sufferer. Seventy guests attended and a total of nearly £500 was raised.
