Fact Sheets

The Society produces a wide range of useful fact sheets and booklets on managing and treating eczema and contact dermatitis along with a wealth of practical hints and tips.

All our medical information is reviewed by either Dermatologists, GPs with a special interest in eczema or dermatology nurses.

The more popular fact sheets are below and can be downloaded or if you prefer, contact our Helpline and ask us to send you a copy :

  • Emollients - This fact sheet explains what emollients are and how to use them to help with eczema.
  • Emollients Products List - A list of the different types of emollient available.
  • Topical Steroids - This fact sheet explains topical steroids, their different strengths and how to use them.
  • Childhood Atopic Eczema - Contains information which will help you understand what causes atopic eczema, how it is treated and what you can do to make your child feel more comfortable.
  • Allergies - A fact sheet on the causes, identification and treatment of common allergies.
  • Complementary Medicine - A fact sheet on the common complementary therapies that could help with eczema.

Other Society Publications

Our full range of publications, available free of charge to Society Members, can also be downloaded from here. You can either contact our Helpline to order or, if you prefer, download the form and send it to the National Eczema Society, Hill House, Highgate Hill, London, N19 5NA.

Many of our publications are also available to non members, but there may be a small charge for this service. Our Publication order form for non members can also be downloaded from here. The form also lets you know what our charges are.
