What You Can Do

Help others by sharing your story

How do you explain eczema to somebody who has no experience of it?

This is a daily challenge for us as we work to raise the profile of the condition and strive to improve the care that patients receive.

One of the most effective ways we’ve found of communicating the physical and emotional impact of eczema is for a patient to describe first hand their experiences.  After all, nobody is a better ambassador for the condition than someone who lives and breathes it on a daily basis!

Our case studies regularly speak at our Nurse Study Days to audiences of health care professionals and are also willing to speak to journalists from newspapers, magazines and broadcasters. By sharing their story they provide us with a powerful way to overcome common misconceptions surrounding eczema and help improve the lives of others with the condition.

We are fortunate to have a number of people willing to help us in this way, but we need more.

Can you help?

We are looking for people of all ages who are based in the UK, both individuals and families, who would like to share their experiences of eczema with others.

If you’d like to take part, or want to know more about what this involves, please contact info@eczema.org
