National Eczema Society Awards
The prestigious National Eczema Society Awards recognise those people who go beyond the call of duty to help and support those with eczema, those who campaign tirelessly on behalf of the Society and those who are an inspiration to us all with their positive outlook and determined attitude.
This year we’re once again inviting you to nominate those people who you think deserve special recognition. Whether it’s a friend, relation or colleague, a GP, nurse or dermatologist, we want to hear what makes them special in your eyes.
This year’s categories include:
- Young person with eczema - This category is open to anyone under 18 and recognises those children who have done something outstanding to help others with the condition.
- Adult with eczema or carer – This category is open to anyone over 18 and recognises those adults who have done something outstanding to help others with the condition whether they have eczema themselves or care for someone who does.
- Fundraiser of the year – This category recognises those people who raise the vital funds that enable the Society to continue to provide help and support to those with eczema.
- Healthcare professional of the year – This category is open to any healthcare professional in the UK and recognises those individuals who work tirelessly to improve patient care.
- Local support group of the year – This category is open to any National Eczema Society group and recognises the emotional support these provide to those attending, the efforts organisers go to in order to arrange informative and interesting speakers and the fundraising events that are a regular feature of the support group calendar.
The winners of the 2008 National Eczema Society awards will be invited to attend a presentation ceremony at the Society’s AGM on Saturday 22 November where they will be presented with their certificates by Chairman, Jane Watts.
